What's the best way to launch a URL from a program so that it opens in the user's favourite browser? Assuming their favourite browser is what they've set as ROX-Filer's run action for HTML files. What I've done is created an HTML file with a meta refresh to the web site I want and open it with "rox $APP_DIR/redirect.html". It works but I find it a bit of a kludge. I looked at ROX-CLib and that creates a .uri file containing something like: URL=http://www.whatever.net But I can't find a run action that actually opens the URL. If you open it in a (Gecko-based) browser it just shows the uri file as plain text. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk |
