#2 Internal Server Error

After an upgrade of some software on my server, I started getting an Internal Server Error when trying to fetch google_contacts with this plugin. After looking into the problem it needed a change on line 15 in the "google_contacts_backend.php" file to read "public $name;" and it started working again. This needs to be looked at and changed in the source to continue working properly.

    I also had the same problem today. I made the change you mentioned but it is still giving me the same error.

    I just checked mine and it is still working. I found the error I had to correct by looking at my apache web server error log and it pointed me to the exact issue that I mentioned in this post. You should check your webserver error logs to see if there is another issue you are having.

    I am not seeing any errors with the current code but I am interested in finding out more about your change.

    You said line 15 which was a single opening bracket for the function. Did you add your line of public $name; after that on line 16?

    Has anyone else been able to fix a problem by doing this?

    I just downloaded the "google_contacts-2.08.tar.gz" from this site and opened up the file "google_contacts_backend.php" and on line 15, I see the line:

    private $name;

    I had to change that line to read:

    public $name;

    In order to alleviate the Internal Server Error I was seeing. But if this does not fix your issue (if you have one) I suggest checking webserver logs as this is what pointed me to this file and this specific line to correct my issue.

    You are correct with your change.. I see the problem. I was on an older release and it was working. But with the latest trunk it was broken.

    The new fixed version is now available.
