Just to summarize some Nurgle ideas
Weapon Themes: Blight, Disease, Acid/Rust, Gravity (heavy).
Physical weapons.
Area of Effect,
Damage over Time.
Dangerous Melee
Low-Reactions and speed.
High-HP, regenerative.
Slow.
Best in mid-range. Not as good at melee as Khorne, not as good at Reactions as Slaanesh, not as good at Long Range as Tzeentch.
Unit Expansion:
Low tier-
-Nurgling variants. Small grot-sized targets, decent chunk of HP. Poisonous/fatal wound melee scratching. Armor damaging.
Spawns on death of several Nurgle units. Can be summoned, rocket/grenade spawners etc. Not great threats on their own, but will counter reaction tactics and grenade tactics to a degree.
Update: Basic STR_NURGLINGS implemented both as stand alone unit and summon. Can still use visual variety improvement.
Can be a 1-tile and/or 4-tile "swarm" unit with a bunch of nurglings mixed together. Needs art assets. Xom has a proof of concept duplicating and mixing Nurglings so there's several of them in a tile.
-Poxwalkers and Plague Zombies. Traditional Zombies as well as armed "zombies". Suicide Boomer/Wight variants. Tarpits, hordes. Check some of the other big mods that do zombie-horde style maps. Infection mechanic (Buschers plague script).
-Nurgle Troopers, traitor guard. Autoguns, shotguns and grenades focus. Infected Ogryn for a meatwall (plus ripper gun/shield. Wheeled Blight Heavy Bolter, Autocannon and Mortars.
-Chemtroopers with chemthrowers/plaguethrowers.
Midtier:
-Pestigors (Beastmen). Meaty low end foe. Nurgle´s Rot passive attack or aoe tossing attack.
-More Plaguebearer variants.
Rotbearer (low tier variant) is WIP.
Special Abilities for variants: AoE snot-toss, gas eruption on death, Nurgling spawners. Slimmer/smaller variants. Tosses their own guts etc.
High-tier:
-Herald of Nurgle. Plaguebearer champion. Got some spells special attacks.
-Deathguard propper. Bigger, beefier.
Lots of special characters here with various Nurgle unique ranged weapons (plaguethrowers, injectors etc).
Armor:
DONE: Xoms plague tanks.
The blight Drone flying unit.
-Nurgle Gravcannons. Havoc Wielded.
-Nurgle Blight Launcher, Heavy Auto Grenade Launcher. Shorter range than the rocket launcher and smaller AoE per blight grenade, but 3 arcing shots should have a higher probability of hitting something.
-DONE: Nurgle Plague Dagger. For lower tier units / melee backup.
-DONE: Nurgle Balesword.
-DONE: Plague Spewer Spewer hoose.
-Nurgle bio warfare armory. Chemthrowers, needleguns. Some sort of "green" liquid vfx required.
-Nurgle Deathguard Elite Heavy Infantry
-Nurgle Deathguard Havocs with Gravcannons. Long range devastating Grav weapons.
-Nurgle Blightlord Terminators, top tier. Might even be a 4 tile unit.
