I have two machines (one laptop, and 1 desktop) both running the latest
Rosegarden, with the same version of jack.
I've been playing with this new softsynth I found, and mixed a few
things on my laptop by using the jack connection window to connect the
rg output to rg L1 and L2 inputs and recorded that on a couple of
tracks. Worked fine. 7 audio tracks, and 4 MIDI tracks into 2 QSynth
DSSI plugins, and two softsynths.
Today, I go to do the same thing on my desktop, and can't get signal to
the tracks on which I want to record. So, I figure I'll fire up
Audacity and use it to record the mix, which it does, for about 30
seconds, before rg quits and says it ran out of CPU power.
What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix it? What are other alternatives
for mixing down? I've got several demo projects which are getting close
to the point where I'll need to mix them down to a .WAV that I can send
Check out the website I've been cobbling together. It will never be done, but it's a start:
