Ubuntu is a debian, and the apt-cache search on the keywords in the
cmake output directly matched the packages, so I was able to track
down all the dependencies very quickly.
For the record, Ubuntu needed ...
kde-dev libxft-dev libjack0.100.0-dev dssi-dev liblo0-dev liblrdf0-dev
libasound2-dev fftw3-dev gettext flac sndfile-programs
Once I had those installed, it just worked ;)

You also need xdialog, kdialog, libxml-twig-perl, and some other random things
we never have documented properly, in order to make all the script-based
features work. You might already have these installed.
I tried to make my own list some time back when I had to get my own Ubuntu in
shape to build the then current Rosegarden, but it's probably out of date now
