I haven't compiled rosegarden for use with vst's specifically, but have
noticed that vst effect in /usr/lib/vst show up and are available in the
effects section. This is with a 'stock' build of Rosegarden. I though
RG had to be compiled specifically for this? Very happy to see this,
although some otherwise reliable (in other Linux apps) effects
(Simulanalog effect, for example) don't behave well, while others do.
Also, I've noticed that when I start up a VST synth outside of
Rosegarden with dssi-vst, I can sequence the synth from within
Rosegarden, but cannot control volume or panning. Is there a
configuration setting I can adjust for this?

Your question may sit here for awhile. I'm quick to answer, but I have no
clue about VST anything, so you will have to wait on someone else to come
