I found that when selecting notes using shift-click in the piano roll,
if you select the wrong one there is no way to deselect it without
having to deselect all of them and start again. The usual behavior
would be to shift-click on a selected note to deselect it, but in
Rosegarden it doesn't change the selected state. It would be of great
help to change this, particularly when you have to select a large
number of notes and you are starting to get nervous because you don't
want miss one and start again, he, he (which eventually will happened
if you are nervous).

That's true everywhere you can select things (eg. on the segment canvas), and
it SUCKS. I'm sure there's an ancient four year old feature request about
