Hello, Has anyone else had a problem with panning of audio tracks? I have 2 mono tracks, first panned hard left, second panned hard right. When I first recorded the tracks, panning appeared to work. Now after fiddling around, rg seems to ignore my pan settings. They both seem to be panned hard left. I have killed rg and rgsequencer and jack many times, to no avail. Am I doing something wrong here? The only way I have made a track even make sound opposite its pan settings is with a LADSPA stereo effect, such as delay. -- Levi Burton http://www.puresimplicity.net/~ldb/ |

Nah, I couldn't even get that far. RG completely hangs up on my system when recording audio. Always hangs in the middle of the first measure. Go figure... At least you can record! ;-) Cheers, Mark > -----Original Message----- > From: ros...@li... > [mailto:ros...@li...]On Behalf Of Levi > Burton > Sent: Monday, March 17, 2003 10:56 AM > To: ros...@li... > Subject: [Rosegarden-user] Audio Panning > > > Hello, > > Has anyone else had a problem with panning of audio tracks? > > I have 2 mono tracks, first panned hard left, second panned hard > right. I'm not totally suprised by this - RG won't currently restore your pan setting automatically (I don't think) and I submitted a patch yesterday (just before your post) to make them default to centre rather than hard left. The plan is to get stereo (and indeed multitrack) audio recording working this week - part of that is to complete panning, fader volumes, plugins etc. Any suggestions at this time most welcome - not least for getting meaningful volume labels (in dB) onto the audio fader.
