This is all interesting, and holds much potential for complication. The old
activate() methods and activated() signals have been renamed trigger() and
triggered() respectively in at least two classes.
This looks to complicate the hell out of various JACK- and DSSI-related
things, and will be very tricky to get just right.
I'm not going to mess with it tonight. (And I've basically made zero port
progress in the last week or so, it seems.)

I see the user board has been pretty busy and you had stayed busy in that respect.
Well, I have not written any code either. I've been pretty busy, this week catching up on projects. I have been keeping up on my QT reading and just started chapter 11. I think understanding QT better is better than slogging along taking guesses at things, which was my earlier approach.
Well, I hope you have a good weekend. I'll see if I can throw a stone or two at the QT port next week. Until then, I'll just keep reading.
