While commenting on this report:
I decided it was high time we had a simpler way to get the Instrument for a
Segment than the current method.
The current method involves getting the TrackId from the Segment, looking up
the Track for that id from the Composition, getting the InstrumentId from the
Track and looking up the Instrument for that id from the Studio.
To replace this nonsense I've added Studio::getInstrumentFor(Segment *) and
There are dozens of uses of the old, round-the-houses method in our code. I
expect if you fgrep for "getInstrument(" in our .cpp files, at least half the
results will be places where we can save a few lines and improve readability
using one of these new methods. So if you should happen to see one, do go
ahead and change it.

Almost a dozen dozen.
I'll see if I can get arsed to do that, since I've done precious little else
Arsed. British English gets one thing right. I love that expression.
