Having read that it has a prelink option (-z combreloc) which lets C++ apps
start faster (it's true, but not spectacular) and that it produces smaller
binaries (true as well, by 20% or so), I've finally switched to gcc 3.2. The
error which we had reported (sorry, I forgot by whom), which was a duplicate
static declaration, is fixed.
