I'm not sure what you mean by "it" has an on-board synth, but neither Rosegarden nor your Delta does. Rosegarden shows the standard General MIDI patch set by default, on the assumption that the default configuration features a General MIDI device plugged in to a MIDI port. I take it that's not the case here. You will either need a separate soft synth or a hardware MIDI device plugged in to your card's MIDI out. For a soft synth, one possibility is the QSynth/fluidsynth combination (see qsynth.sf.net) which uses soundfonts and can easily be driven from Rosegarden. Chris |
