Hello, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before ( i didn't find it from archives ). And also, i don't know much about open GL. Anyway, I noticed that scrolling and zooming in matrix view and notation edit was really slow on my machine. So i started to investigate how to boost the performace. What i ended up with was from Qt-s doc http://doc.trolltech.com/4.2/graphicsview.html#opengl-rendering So i tried adding - setViewport(new QGLWidget()); in the constructor of Panned.cpp I was amazed by the speed boost it gave to matrix view and notation view. My question is, is there any reason for this having not made to rosegarden code base? (i.e. problems with some video cards, problems in machines with no support for HW acceleration ? ) Is there any branch working with optimizing those editors? Has anyone else had a try on enabling open GL on graphicsview? Alvar |
