Hello Chris, I thought I answered my own question, but I didn't. This is what I got so far: > Emanuel wrote some time ago concerning adding shortcut > information to the .rc files: > > > ...accepted by QKeySequence, e.g. > "Ctrl+L". > > > > > > > Shouldn't this be: "Qt::CTRL + > Qt::Key_L" ? > > the wiki still shows: > > If the action has a shortcut, add a > shortcut=“text” attribute where text > is a shortcut > description using the syntax accepted by QKeySequence, e.g. > > “Ctrl+L” > > Which is correct? I'm imagining the Emanuel has it > correct. I think the wiki is correct. After reading the QKeySequence section of the Qt Guide. If I say "Ctrl+L", this has the potential of being translated via tr(), but we are using i18n() still. If I use "Qt::CTRL + Qt::Key_L" this is equivalent to hard coding? So, how will this process work. we will read the .rc files, but will the translators get a crack at changing these shortcuts using features of i18n() or are we basically hard coding these in? Sorry, for all the questions? I'll keep reading. Sincerely, Julie S. |
