That is the correct thing to do. In fact, the original English string in the source code is not correct. When using plurals in KDE3, the "\n" is used as delimiter between the plural forms, so it is not possible to use "\n" within the singular and plural part of the original message. As a work-around, the original could be changed to something like this, using rich text tags: #: ../src/gui/dialogs/AudioManagerDialog.cpp:875 #, c-format msgid "" "_n: <qt>About to delete 1 audio file permanently from the hard disk.<br>" "This action cannot be undone, and there will be no way to recover this " "file.<br>" "Are you sure?</qt>\n" "<qt>About to delete %n audio files permanently from the hard disk.<br>" "This action cannot be undone, and there will be no way to recover these " "files.<br>" "Are you sure?</qt>" I only found two messages with this problem. The second one is in ../src/document/RosegardenGUIDoc.cpp:498. > Nevertheless most of the translations seems to keep all the "\n" from the > english text. > > I can't get anything useful from Google. > Did I miss something or do most of the translations not work here ? You are right, most of the translations do not work. Stefan |
