Is there any special sound card for this or the one that usually comes with pcx86(with ac7) will suffice..? Because I am afraid I would be victim of unnecessary noise....... Regards, Bharani. "D. Here is my scenario. My midi keybd(psr > 550)-> Rosegarden (550.rgd)-> some composition. then there is a different > option to export to like lily pond etc but there is no mp3 or wav... please > help me.. If you want to record the sound your keyboard produces, you have to get its audio output into your computer somehow, and then record from there. Otherwise you will have to play with a soft synth (eg. QSynth) or synth plugins (eg. Fluidsynth-DSSI) and record the result of those playing. This gets into a huge can of worms, and I'm copying this back to the list with the hope that maybe somebody else will step in here and help me help you. Lurkers, I know you're out there! -- D.
