Hello,
I finally sorted out the issue with help of mike..would somebody let me know how to do a simple file transfer (say style files or new songs) from yamaha psre403/550 (to/from) a ubuntu  studio installed computer. LIke in windows they provide a CD to install the USB cable (not the Edirol interface) and another program to make sure computer communicates with the keyboard..so what is the substitute in Ubuntu Studio for this kind of operation.

Obviously I am not talking about doing stuff with rosegarden(it doesn't have the rgd for 403 yet.)

Thanks,
Bharani.
