#1339 consistent error saving in matrix editor

I had given this file the name 2.rg the first time. I got this error I think the next time I hit the save button.
error dialog was:
"Could not save document at C:/Documents and Settings/Jim Michaels/My Documents/My Music/2.rg
Error was : Failed to rename temporary output file 'C:/Documents and Settings/Jim Michaels/My Documents/My Music/2.rg..Sv2408' to desired output file 'C:/Documents and Settings/Jim Michaels/My Documents/My Music/2.rg'"

seems to me that this rosegarden, for being version 11, is more an alpha version than a production release if you can't save your files.
please release an exe that works. thanks. I have a song to write.

fortunately, I think a MIDI export worked, so I was able to save my song in MIDI as an alternative to broken .rg

With the next release, I'll do a better job of making it clear and obvious that the Windows build is EXPERIMENTAL. If it works, that's great, and if it doesn't, you need to contact Richard Bown directly. The core Rosegarden team has nothing to do with the Windows builds, and we can't help you with any problems you might be having with it.

I have no more idea than you do how to compile the thing, and if you manage to do anything useful with it, I'll be really surprised.

We really appreciate your bug reports. However, we're seriously understaffed here. We'll do the best we can. There is only one person working on the Windows version. And he's probably doing it in his (non-existent) spare time.

Keep the bug reports coming. And do join the mailing lists and strike up some discussions there as well.
