Fault: Epson Stylus Color 740 printing garbage

Details: Using setup previously used under Printers
1.62, supporting Kyocera FS-1000 and a standard
PostScript PDF as well as a an ESC740. When attempting
to print, FS-1000 and PS work OK but ESC740 produces
garbage (ignoring control codes).

FS-1000 and ESC740 run via T-Switch, PS to file for
use by RiScript. Tested using Ovation Pro 2.60.

Thanks, useful information.

Further information: Same problem experienced on Epson
Stylus Colour 440.

When used with the type 4 Stylus Colour 400 driver it works
as expected, when the driver has been converted to new type
5 by PrintEdit it prints garbage. Printers both use PDumperE2.

After some debugging it appears this is a bug in the
back-end (probably PDumperE2). I'll pass it on to RISCOS Ltd.

I'm reopening this since I don't have a fix for it yet. The
problem is probably in PDumperE2.
