I have a need to bind a Roccat Nyth thumbgrid button to my keyboard's C Key such that the OS considers this key held down even after the thumbgrid button's up stroke. I tried to accomplish this by creating a macro that has only the c key's downstroke recorded in it. Before taking my finger off the c key I stopped the recording, leaving only the downstroke in the macro.

This did not work. I needed this to keep my shield raised while doing gorean sword combat in Second Life without having to hold down any buttons. But this macro did not leave my avatar in the crouch required for shield to be in effect.

The plan to get out of crouch was to do a c keystroke on the keyboard.

The Firestorm Viewer does have a c key toggle feature. But I find this not to be practicle due to it being diffcult to know when the avatar is in crouch while in mouselook, and uncertainty about how many times the C Key was actually pressed, The need is to keep the avatar crouching after the upstroke of the key that makes it crouch.
