I have the kernel configured correctly, and the udev rule seems to be working fine. I have and am a member of the group roccat, and the event handler is loading. My problem is that while I have emerged roccat-tools, I have been unable to find any documentation on how to get it to build with the roccatkonepureconfig binary. It is only building the roccateventhandler binary, which doesn't quite get me there. I would appreciate any help with this next step. Thank you.

I'm not the creator of the Gentoo packages and don't use Gentoo, but you need to configure the USE flags. In your case it's input_devices_roccat_konepure.

or you can add "roccat_konepure" to the INPUT_DEVICES section in your make.conf
