Hi,
Ever since I updated the firmware on my KoneXTDOptical, the "Play/Pause", "Next Track", and "Previous Track" actions no longer provide an XF86<Action> event to X11. I have tested this with "xev" and no events are triggered whenever I press a key that is mapped to one of those multimedia events. This worked totally fine before I updated the Firmware to 1.15, but now that I'm on 1.15 it doesn't matter what button I try to map one of the multimedia keys to - no action will be fired.
I have tried reflashing the 1.15 firmware (in Windows) and I still get the same behavior. I contacted roccat support to see if they could provide me with an older firmware to test, but they said they did not have any old firmware versions.
I have tried reflashing the firmware, performing a factory reset, but I still cannot get the multimedia keys to function. Is the roccat linux driver compatible with the latest firmware?
Let me know what debugging information or other information I can provide to try to help resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I created this bug while not logged in. I have confirmed that multimedia keys work perfectly fine on FW1.13, but do not function on FW1.15. I've downgraded my firmware for the time being, but I'd still be interested to get to the root of this issue. I'll take a look around the code if I get a chance at some point. I'm also curious if anyone is having this issue.
FWIW you can get the 1.13FW from http://www.roccat.org/en-US/Support/Downloads/#/1/Gaming-Mice/34/Kone-XTD-Optical/5/Windows---7-32-Bit/V1.06/FW1.15/ underneath the latest version download.
Try
and see if it works then. If yes, read here under DriverState.
Thank you! That worked for me - I missed that skimming through the docs. Very much appreciated! Thank you for the explanation and fix.
