It is always best practice to request support for an app before posting a poor review... Often issues will be corrected by the developer in a cycle release when they are reported BY THE USER TO THE DEVELOPER. Problems that are only reflected in a poor review go undocumented and are never corrected. The application life cycle needs users to report issues in order for the problems to be corrected. Posting "one star" or "a thumbs down" really helps no one at all. Posting a poor review with no feedback does not help improve apps (because developers can't know what the problem is), does not help other users (because they get no feedback from you), does not help you (because you will never get app improvements if developers don't know what the issues are)..

Make the apps you use better!! - email the developer BEFORE you post that bad review!
