File releases

I decided to release the RoBBoT files. The files were only on cvs, so, just for convenience, I packed them up in tarballs.

Note however that RoBBoT is not maintained anymore. It's inactive. But maybe some of you can still use the code. Enjoy :-)

RoBBoT project will move to SourceForge

RoBBoT 0.2 Alpha written by Rob ten Hove (www.robth.com) is now part of the official RoBBoT project @ SourceForge.

Therefore I will move all the files from my own site (www.robth.com) to SourceForge. I hope to do this in the current week.

It's not an official release (Rob is the only author), therefore it cannot be found on SourceForge.

You can find it at http://www.robth.com

Project changes!

We decided to use Java instead of PHP. We didn't do anything for RoBBoT the last weeks (2 months?), and we thought that the time is right to start the project again.

Since it's almost christmas (that includes holiday ;-), I think we should be able to do some design, documentation and last but not least, coding.

Please re-submit!

Hello,

I lost all my e-mail, so I also lost all the responses to the webmaster job post :-(

Can anyone who replied to the job post please re-submit his e-mail?

Thanks!

Discussing design

Just a word to let you know we're still alive here at RoBBoT.

We (the RoBBoT developers) are discussing a lot about the bot lately. Everyone has his own idea of how to build it. Once we have found a way everyone is happy with we can design the bot.

And you guessed it right....once we designed it, we will code it :-)

Development started!

The RoBBoT development team is starting the development of RoBBoT!

We decided to use OOP design. We will not use any pcntl-functions like fork(), so the bot will be OS-independent. We will however be using the socket functions.

I recieved some reactions from people who want the source-code of the old bot, but because we decided to completely rebuild the bot from scratch using OOP we decided not to release any old source-code.

Thank you
