RoadMap 1.2.1 has been released

- Support for building .rdm data from OpenStreetMap country snapshots,
in addition to quadtiles. Preparatory work for allowing navigation

RoadMap 1.1.0 has been released.

The RoadMap project is pleased to announce RoadMap 1.1.0, the first major release of RoadMap in almost two years. RoadMap is a GPS-enabled map browser and navigation aid. Full support is provided for pre-planned routes, track recording, and waypoint (point-of-interest) storage, with import and export in the open GPX format.

RoadMap primarily displays American and Canadian roadmaps (others can be added as data becomes available). Maps are stored in a relatively compact and efficient format -- detailed maps for the entire USA take approximately 3.5GB. RoadMap provides for on-screen road labeling, 2D and pseudo-3D map views, position lookup by street address or intersection, and voice output.
