Bug (and fix): Slashes in titles of feeds

    A bug exists in Rnews where the titles of any feeds which contain "special" punctuation (such as single quote marks) are not displayed correctly.

    For example, if an RSS feed is named Bob's Super Blog, its title will appear in Rnews as

    Bob\'s Super Blog

    This can be fixed easily in output.php. Find the line which reads

    //echo '<a href="index.php?more='. $feed->id .'" title="see all articles in this feed">'. $name .'</a>';
    echo "<a href=\"{$feed->main_link}\">{$name}</a>";
    //echo '<a href="'. $feed->main_link .'"><img src="img/feed-link_nm.png" alt="'.$name.'" title="'.$name.'"/></a>';

    Before these lines, add

    $namestripped=stripslashes($name);

    then modify the lines to read

    //echo '<a href="index.php?more='. $feed->id .'" title="see all articles in this feed">'. $namestripped .'</a>';
    echo "<a href=\"{$feed->main_link}\">{$namestripped}</a>";
    //echo '<a href="'. $feed->main_link .'"><img src="img/feed-link_nm.png" alt="'.$name.'" title="'.$namestripped.'"/></a>';

    Thank you very much franklinveaux!!!

    I wish there will be more user post bugfix solutions since there are no official updates anymore
