Hey Guys

I'm back from my little job as a both drone... I appreciate everyone
helping each other out... 

I got a lot of hacking I need to do... I'm gonna address the RLIB
crashing too easy if everything is not in place.. first

I'm also working on python/perl bindings... as well as an informix back
end

*** BUT I COULD USE SOME HELP ***

Could someone please please please help me w/ documentation and
examples??? I'm just not good at it... ok.. hehehe

Plus it cuts into my hacking time in a big way

the 4th is only used if you have more then one main loop query

make sure you have the header(rlib_get_content_type(

If you are getting 0's it means rlib could not resolve the field
names.... send to the list your xml and (php/c) so I can take a look

Ok.. sounds like you guys want file output... I think thats a good
idea... the rlib_spool simply writes a stored buffer out stdout...

I'll give you guys a way to get to that buffer and its length

Maybe.. I need to look at it a tad closer.. but I have 1000's of emails
to get to after being away 6 days.... I was hoping python/perl bindings
would be the command line version of rlib... but If you want to clean up
test2, call it something else and make it more generic I would accept it

Hi,

Sorry.. I just got back from a trip...

You need to have php-devel installed some how.. what system are you
running on?

RLIB needs to find php-config in your path in order to have php bindings

I can output the example just fine.

I have imported a bunch of other tables to test this on our actual data.
What I am getting is either an error message or 0's in any field type other
than varchar(x) or char(x). Field types I am trying this on include
tinyint(3) and int(11).

One example - tbl_country.countryID is auto_increment, tinyint(3), not null

Using some of the functions and here are the results

ceil(countryID) 	result = 1
abs(countryID)	result = 0
val(countryID)	result = !ERR_F

countryID with Format="'%d'"  	result = 0

Using MySQL 3.23
simple query of "SELECT tbl_country.* FROM tbl_country"


Any thoughts?  Think I am missing something pretty fundamental here.......

   I got the PHP with RLib working in Shell Prompt.There is a
change i did in the example script given in betabook.pdf. I added
the third parameter.

   rlib_add_report($rlib, "report.xml","example");

     But still i could not get the script working thru
browser.i.e generating report on the fly by accessing the PHP
script thru webserver. Please kindly help me.

Update:
   I have changed the extension_dir in php.ini to reflect the
path of libr-php.so.And also added in extension=libr-php.so in
php.ini. I also got rlib in "Additional Modules" of phpinfo()
page.One note for users of MySQL 4.1. For mysql support in rlib,
please check whether your have installed MySQL-devel rpm package.

[Rlib-users] RLib PHP Problem

Dear Friends,
    I am try to use RLib with PHP 4.3.3 / Apache 2 on Redhat
    Linux.I have added libr-php.so to the php.ini. The location of php.ini
is  /usr/local/lib. I have linked libr-php.so in /usr/local/lib
to libr-php-1.1.2.so which is in
/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/.
   When i use "php -m" in /usr/local/lib, rlib module is listed.
But when i use "php -m" elsewhere, i am getting the following
error :

I've done them both.  I actually symlinked libr to the same thing =
libr-php is linked to.  Besides, failing to do that would cause a nice =
big error from php.
