I think the problem is php 5.0.0.  Here it not works with rlib.

I am trying to install & use RLib 1.2.0 in Fedora Core 2, PHP
5.0.0 with Apache 2.0.50, ClibPDF.

When I run the example.php from the command line (php example.php)
I get the following error:

see rlib/src/examples/c

It's a small c program linked w/ RLIB

That give you some hints

RLIB also installs a package config file

pkg-config --cflags rlib
pkg-config --libgs rlib

is the best way to compile and link

Thanks for the help the other day.  I was able to get the configure =
requirements satisfied and get rlib installed,  but when I attempt to =
run the example report, I get a "Cannot find server or DNS Error =
Internet Explorer" screen .  I have also tried Netscape 7.2, but it =
gives no output or any indication that it has even tried to load the =
page.

If I modify the test code to the to the following:

rpm -qa  grep -i mysql

Make sure you have the devel packages installed, along with pkg-config.

[Rlib-users] PHP/mySQL not found

Hi --

Sorry if this is a *dumb* question, but  I am not having any luck =
getting configure to detect php and mySQL on my Mandrake-10 test system. =
 I have looked through past user archives and did not find anything that =
looked particularly helpful.  Here are some specifics:

[root@cc001032 rlib-1.1.9]# uname -a

rlib_add_query_as($rlib, "sql1", "select * from whatever", "q1");
rlib_add_query_as($rlib, "sql2", "select * from whatever", "q2");
rlib_add_resultset_follower($rlib, "q1", "q2");
rlib_add_report..
execute
spool

However that's not exactly what you are looking for.  The
resuletset_follower is only good when there then number of rows in the
resultsets is the same

What you are probably looking for is what I'm developing now.. the
concept of report parts.. check the archives of the mailing list for my
proposal.  I should have a prototype working with in 2 weeks or so

Actually you make an entry in a my.cnf file with the user/pw/port

and then you give it the group name.

I'm not 100% sure thats what you are looking for.

Perhaps you would need a new API function that you give it
server and port also??  It would be pretty easy to write

This is a Linux Red Hat 7.3 with PHP 4.3.8 and MYSQL 4.0.17
You're right : I didn't use the --prefix donc i looked for where was the
file libr-mysql.so and the path wasn't in the file /etc/ld.so.conf ...
So I added the path in /etc/ld.so.conf and launched ldconfig and restart
apache... and it works perfectly now... Great....

What type of system is this on?

And what prefix did you install rlib in?

It's a prefix apache can't see.

Typically look in /etc/ld.so.conf to see what are the normal LD prefix's
and if libr-mysql isn't there apache won't know about it.  If thats the
case the easiest thing to do is install rlib in a place where apache can
find it.

Make the content type of PDF's work better w/ IE

And some SERIOUS PCODE PROBLEMS that either caused a crash or compiled
in correctly

Like "round(100/60)" didn't work or "-5"

the round function also had a bug

You can't change the font.. As of now it must be a fixed font.  You can
play around in pdf.c/html.c if you want to try different fonts outside
of the default used.  We need the ability to change the fonts to non
fixed fonts.. patches welcome

color yes there is a color and bgcolor attribute for literal, date, line

style no.. we need a patch for this one (this would be easy btw)
