I want to know if it is possible to add an option so I can edit
compile and work with windows (ISO-8859-15) coded files.
Right now you can "save as.." with a different codification than UTF-8,
but you can not edit again the same saved file, because the editor
complain about the codification but do not let you to change
the codification or use the windows codification.
I would like to have the option to work with windows (ISO-8859-15)
codification because I interchange a lot of R scripts with people that
use windows and do not have editors that understand UTF-8 codification.
Thank you for your help.
Kenneth

I don't know what version of RKWard you are using, but in 0.5.0d (the latest) you can change the encoding of the current script in: Edit -> Tools Move -> Encoding.
You can also change the default encoding for *all* the files you load/save in Settings -> Configure editor -> Open/Save -> General -> File Format -> Encoding.
It's nearly the same in RKWard 0.4.9b (KDE3).
Hope it helps. If not, feel free to ask further.
Best regards,
Mancho

Hi Mancho and rkward developers.
I just install version 0.5.2, but I do not find the "Settings -> Configure editor -> Open/Save -> General -> File Format -> Encoding" option.
Where can I find this options in the new version?
Thank you for your help.
Kenneth
Hi Kenneth,
for technical reasons, you need to open a script editor window, before you can access the "Configure Editor" settings.
In case you still cannot find it, which version of KDElibs are you using with RKWard (Check Help->About for this info)?
Regards
Thomas
