sorry I did not respond any sooner, but after all, you figured out a way to make it work.
I'm not sure, why libacl is needed for linking, as rkward certainly does not use it directly. I'll try to remember having a look at this before the next release. If anybody could provide some insight on this, that would be very much appreciated.

I've tried to complie rkward 0.3.4 (suse 9.3 with kde 3.5) and got the following error msg:
cannot find the library `/lib/libacl.la'
configure seems to work fine (I compiled an older version, 0.3.2 I think, without problems)
I have a suse package libacl installed.

Problem solved installing libacl-devel and libattr-devel (not included in suse cd's or dvd)
