    Hi,
I'm trying this out and it seems to work great... Using an external USB drive for root, etc.

I was wondering where you found a good howto to get this compiled on the pi? I followed some older ones and got it to work, but some dependencies were missing and permissions "broke" after I updated the OS.

    Good work!

I basically followed the old guide to install on debian 6. I'm not sure it is perfect, but it work, with some hassle. I wouldn't ever update because it will likely break something. I need to recompile on the new OS at some point.

I downloaded the img and copied the ing on a SD card.
Did it twice. Both result in a rainbow colored screen. No further start of the system.
    I us a raspberry P3+ and the file : Rivendell_on Pixel.7z
This is the first time I met Rivendell. A have some RPI linux expirience.
The imge is 2 years old Is there some activitie or is there an other way to get Rivendell on Raspberry-pi?
    regards Martin

I did the same. Pi B3+ looks like is not the target harware.

Raspberry B3+ start with the the 4 raspberry's and than the rainbow screen. Futher nothing

Raspberry b+ v1,2 starts ok. only 1 raspberry but the system is running OK>
    about 350 updates

Now I look for the default passwd's

    regards Martin

As Pi 4 is now out, faster, more memory, will this work on a 4?
