#7 timing

The start of the first line appears to be halfway
across the screen about twice a second resulting in a
shake of the picture. This happens with xawtv,
Broadcast 2000 and MainActor(demo).
Also can't get lavrec to work.

Did you try this kind of command line with lavrec:
$ lavrec softwareencoding format=a input=p quality=80
geometry=352x288 /path/to/file.avi
