When I rip files into ogg, lame mp3, or flac (the only
codecs I have) the files do not have correct ID3 tags
which can be read by any of my music programs.

Actually ogg files do have ID3 tags. I found out why the
others don't though. id3.c only creates ID3 tags for ogg
files. I may attempt to add flac capability later.
Hopefully my perl skills and Java skills will help me some
because I know little about C but I have edited C programs
before. It looks fairly simple though.

Um, I don't seem to have a problem with getting ID3 tags in
my MP3 files. Please note that the tags are ID3v1, but
other than that, they should work fine. Could you please
post some more detail, or perhaps send me your .ripperXrc file?

Can you confirm that you're still having this problem with
MP3 files? I would suspect that the problem is only for FLAC.

I'm using ripperx in kubuntu 9.10 and the lame-encoder. Curiously ripperx attaches the right ID3 tags till track 09 of a CD, but doesn't attach any ID3 tag from track 10 on. Anyone has any suggestion how to solve this??
