Hi Martin,

Thanks for the link to the paper which I found very interesting - it
really states the case for open source software well.  

The rigserve project has got me interested in python as a language and
I've been bowled over with the flexibility and power of a 'scripting'
language.

I've written a small utility that plots out voacap area maps, the output
of which may be seen at;
