Hi
Ri-li is a very nice game. Therefore we included it in "lernstick", a Linux distribution for Swiss schools (http://www.imedias.ch/lernstick). For the next lernstick version we plan a feature where users can switch the system language from the boot menu.
And here is the challenge: Unfortunately, Ri-li is not locale sensitive, i.e. Ri-li does not care about the system/user locale setting. Ri-li is not alone here, there are unfortunately also other programs that ignore the locale settings. But all other programs store their own private language setting in a editable text file. This way we can modify the language setting programmatically. Unfortunately, Ri-li stores its settings in a binary file. This way it is impossible to change the language of Ri-li outside of the game. This way Ri-li is the only program of the lernstick distribution where language switching just does not work.
I would prefer if you could make Ri-li locale sensitive. This is the most sane solution and you can even do without the language settings in Ri-li itself. The minimal thing that needs to be done for automatic language switching is storing the configuration in an editable text file.
Thank you for this nice game

I wanted to write the same thing: thanks Ronny.
I have the same problem in BimboTux, an italian distro for children (http://www.lecco.linux.it/Un_pinguino_per_ogni_bambino).
Thank you for this beautiful game
