Hello
My problem is that I can not install the FSAM Module with Make... and make install
the command make in the right directory as the README describes causes an ERROR ...
I dont think that I am abel to solve this problem
so I thought there is a possibility to create or get a rpm-package for my SUSE 9.2
I-am a newbe in Linux and I hope that sombody can help me.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
What does it exactly mean to have or have not installed the kernel sources. have I only to activate them or is ther a RPM-package? Are they specific to the kernel or could I use an old kernelsource? What errors can I make possibly? And what have I to do when I have installed the sources?
A lot of questions ... I would be happy if one or two were answered.
Thankyou Bye Andreas

What errors do you get?
This is the Error occuring in the directory with the MAKEFILE:
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.8-24-default/build SUBDIRS=/home/Andi/rfswitch-0.1 MODVERDIR=/home/Andi/rfswitch-0.1 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24-obj/i386/default'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24-obj/i386/default'
That's not an error.
What does make install output?
Oh sorry! I payed no attention to what I pasted in this Box as error
The real error is:(it is german I hope that does not matter)
Andirechner:/home/Andi/rfswitch-0.1 # make

You probably don't have the kernel sources for your kernel installed.

You need the kernel-sources RPM package for your running kernel.
OK the RPM-package is installed but nothing happens ...
the same error ocurs....
Try installing the kernel-headers RPM package.
I do not really know what kernel Headers are ...
But I thought that they are included in the kernel RPM of SUSE
