I am running ReZound on Kubuntu Edgy on a Compaq Presario V6030US,
which has an NVidia sound card, running on the latest version of ALSA.
I was not able to get any playback from ReZound initially, so then I
installed JACK. When I get JACK to work (which is not all the time!),
then I am able to get playback from ReZound. However, the playback
volume is far too loud (and there is lots of clipping compared to
playing the same file on another player). I am able to use KMix to
control the speaker so that the volume is decreased, but the clipping
is still there if the file is played in ReZound.
Is there something I have missed or misunderstood?
