I have a sample rate problem and i would like to know the best way to
solve it using rezound.
My aim is to get a 44.1 wav file from a DCC recording, transferring from
dcc to computer using optical spdif.
I have recorded from a DCC tape optical out into the optical in of a
maya usb soundcard (FWIW, I had to use mac osx to record as inputs on
the maya don't seem to work well in linux at the moment). The DCC output
is at 44.1 khz (i think), but the maya only runs at 48khz. This means
that the resulting file seems to play too fast. I have tried recording
to 48 and 44.1 khz files but both sound the same. Resampling the file in
rezound makes no diference - it still sounds the same. Using the 'change
rate' function in rezound, I multiplied by 0.91875 (44.1/48) and the
file now sounds correct. Is this the highest quality way to permanently
change the speed of playback? I need to master from the resulting
