Would you like a menu icon to be designed?

(If you have no interest in menu icons please read no
further, close this thread and we'll make no further
mention of it ;)

I have noticed that the Debian package for ReZound
lacks a menu icon.

FYI: The Debian menu system uses 32x32 pixel XPMs,
which would be located in this instance at
/usr/share/pixmaps/ReZound.xpm and referenced from the
menu file /usr/lib/menu/ReZound with a line like this:

icon="/usr/share/pixmaps/ReZound.xpm"

I'm sure the Debian package maintainer will be able to
make these changes so long as a suitable icon is
provided with the source code. I'm on a mission to make
the multimedia menus look as good as possible, so I'm
encouraging developers to include icons or point me to
suitable resources from which I could create one. I
have already designed a set of generic default icons
for multimedia applications, which we will continue to
use until we come up with a better solution.

If you're not graphically inclined, I'm offering to
create a suitable icon and submit a menufile patch to
the maintainer for the Debian system into the bargain.
Please email me with your requirements if this is the case.

Thanks for taking the time to deal with this, and
thanks for all the effort you have put in to making
great free software.

I'm not sure if it's to your liking, but there is a gif
version of a 32x32 icon file in the src/images directory,
    icon_logo_32.gif

You're welcome to make a better looking one, but it would be
best if it somewhat resembled the current "theme" (I know
it's not much.. FOX ain't the prettiest toolkit--I admit..
They've discussed theming as an eventuality, but I doubt any
very good looking themes will ever come of it) But if you
want to try, be my guest and I'll add it to CVS if it's
    acceptible.

That will probably be acceptable once I've converted it to
    XPM, thanks for the pointer.

OK, I'm developing a list of multimedia apps that could use
further icon ideas and farming them out to any graphic
artists I meet. My own skills are limited. My main concern
right now is that the Debian menus show the officially
approved icon for the package and thereby increase
visibility. Icons are of particular use to new users,
dyslexics and partially-sighted users (up to a point).
Finding ReZound early on in a new multimedia user's life can
    be a particular blessing!

I'll either confirm this or present some new ideas in the
    next week (or so).

There is a logo in a xcf format (255x255) in the source : src/images/WORK/icon_logo.xcf which looks like to be the one used to make the xpm in the debian page (check in wheezy).

I suggest this feature request to be closed.
