Hi!

please use libsamplerate (http://www.mega-nerd.com/SRC/) for
resampling. At least optional (i.e. if not installed, use your old code,
if found, then use libsamplerate)

libsamplerate, from the same author of libsndfile, is a very high
quality resampler. The best is: if Erik adds new resample-algos to
his library, ReZound would have them instantly w/o any change or
recompile. It should be easy to add it.

so PLEASE use it! ;-)

mandantory!!!

I have some experimental code that uses libsamplerate to
optionally replace mine as you say. I realize that it uses
algorithms better than my 2 point linear-interpolation. I
just haven't tested it well enough to check it in yet. So
expect to see it eventually.. perhaps I'll up the priority
on that now that someone is actually is requesting it.

Well, i had some resampling work to do today (basically 44100 -> 16000), and ended up using audacity for the job; i've evaluated audacity and rezound and the command line tool resample (using a sine sweep), and audacitys resampling produced the best output quality (and rezound the worst output quality).
