#76 truncated time by adding cue

Other (6)

This phenomenon can't be a bug, but I can't find any
other explanatin of it.
By adding cue at start or stop position is cue time
displayed in the cue properities
window the same as the time in the lines in the bottom
of the main
window e.i. correct. But the time realy set in the new
created cue has
all the digits after decimal point are zeroed.
(00:47.79621 ->
00:47.00000 )

However Looping -> Add Timed Cues (Add Cues every X
seconds) set only
ONE cue on the correct time.

The rezound ver.0.3.0 alpha works correct in this point.

I compiled all the libs from the source on the Mandrake
with libaudiofile v0.2.3
libfox v1.0.18 (./configure --with-opengl=no)
libfftw v2.1.3
lame v3.92
cdrdao from cdrdao-1.1.9-6mdk
libogg-1.0, libvorbis-1.0, vorbis-tools-1.0,
without libFLAC
with SoundTouch-1.3.0 (package compiled O.K. but
compile rezound
whith error mentioned on the
other place,
--disable-soundtouch-check )
without libportaudio
without libjack
with glibc-2.3.3-20mdk
without vox/devox
with gcc-3.4.1-3mdk

I am unable to reproduce this in the latest CVS code using
either "Add to At Start Position" or "Add Timed Cues".. so
either it has been fixed or I'm not understanding the issue.

    therefore I guess it can't be a bug - such a fundamental
    mistake can nobody overpass.
This phenomenon I've observed already on the other machine
with RH9.? and ReZound 0.10.0 beta was installed
from .rpm . Now I compiled all the stuff from the
source (like ver.0.3.0 alpha ) according the cook book
and I have no idea how to fix it.

Is there any way you could test the latest release, 0.11.1beta?

Then if it still exhibits the problem, give a simple step by
step description of how the bug is produced from
you--starting with opening the file and every click you make.

Or, if you can't compile 0.11.1beta then just give a step by
step for the 0.10.0beta rpm. 0.3.0beta is just really old.

sorry, I have no access to the machine with installed
but now I am on the other one with 0.9.0beta installed from .rpm
    running on the
    PROLinux GNU/Linux release 9 (Shrike)
    Kernel 2.4.20-20.9 on an i686

this problem is to reproduce here such a follow:
open file (for this purpose I used .ogg)
left mouse click - set start (02:29.6498)
right mouse click - set stop
    Add Cue ad Start Position
    in Cue Properities window:
    Cue Name Cue1
    Cue Time 02:29.6498
    no checked Anchored in Time
    Show Cue List
    02:29.0000 - Cue1

and also in the timeline the position of Cue1 does not match
start point (begin of the highlighted area)

the phenomeneon of the ver 0.11.1beta was the same in this
point - surely I have some crucial error in the libraries or
compiler, but I have no idea how to look for it.
I did no changes in the istalation nor in the kernel.

    cannot understand anything.

Now I installed ReZound 0.12.0beta from tar just according
    the istruction
    in docs/INSTALL

(I mentioned the diference, I could use libfox ver.1.4.12
    and there was
no need disable libSoundTouch in configure)

but the problem with truncated time in Add Cue at [Start
    Stop] Position
    Also time written in
CueList -> Edit -> Cue Properties -> Cue Time is not set
time displayed in CueList afterthat difers.

I gues high this feature, frequently used in old version.
As I am profesional cutter (Avid MediaCoposer) maybe I use
    not as usuall as designed.

I use moovig stop position whille playing loop to determine
start position. (Instrument attck, or so) I set cue and
    after that
I use snap at cue position whille marking area.

May I cannot expres myself as correct as I like to do,
what about to try another languages, german italian or (unlike)
Or I can ring you up and arrange my machine so I can display
ReZound window on your X11 server.

I have no idea what can be wrong, such an error cannot be
    no matter how it is.

    ----after cca 2 weeks -----

Now I tried to install ReZound on the another dirtro: SuSE 9.2 -
the result in this point is exactly the same.

msqqq found that the issue is caused by the locale being set
to something besides english even though there was no
translation. To fix it the time should be entered with the
specific locale's format (i.e. use ',' instead of '.' for
    decimal point separation)

This will be fixed in the next release.
