#3 Syntax coloring for diffs

Right now, syntax coloring looks great for newly added files. But syntax coloring for diffs is simply green for added lines, and red for removed lines. Diffs don't get language-specific coloring.

I wish it used language-specific syntax coloring for diffs, too.

How to do this? Perhaps show the text with language-specific coloring, and the add/remove status with red/green as the background color. (Some desktop diff tools use a display like this.)

This would be especially great with feature request #1797563 "Side-by-side diffs", but could be used with inline diffs, too.
