Well - I'll still create ConfigObj 4, not much to do, and I need nested =
sections for several of my own projects.

www.pyyaml.org doesn't seem to exist any more.
syck looks interesting, useful for data persistence. I'm not so sure =
about application config though. It also depends what programmers =
interface it provides.

You'd still have to implement some kind of validation scheme - even if =
syck looks like it retains some kind of type data.
