The log file for backup operations is in the backup destination folder in a file named "clonezilla-img" (since Resceuzilla v2.0).
With Rescuezilla v2.0, the only way to create a log file during a restore operation is double-click the Terminal icon on the desktop, then type the following /usr/sbin/rescuezilla > /home/ubuntu/Destop/logfile.txt. Then use Rescuezilla as normal, and the logfile will be available on the desktop. I hope to make this process happen automatically like it did in previous versions.
I see you have raised GitHub issue #122, where you are unable to backup a disk using Rescuezilla v2.0 because it was unable to create the optional hard drive drive geometry file. I have responded on GitHub.
