I looking to clone the HDD on an old Lenovo ThinkPad laptop running Linux Mint to an SSD in order replace the slow HDD with the SSD to give the laptop a speed boost, just clone the HDD and swap it out with the SSD.
I've flashed RescueZilla to a USB flash drive, but upon starting it up, it completely freezes up after about 2 mins and is unusable. So I'm forced to reboot and try again, and it still freezes up shortly after startup completes.
I have tried with 2 different USB sticks and it does the same thing with either one, which is strange since both these USB sticks can be used to boot this old laptop with any other Linux OS running live from the USB.
Even using the Load to RAM option in the startup menu, and RescueZilla still freezes up after startup.
So basically it seems RescueZilla is unusable if it freezes before I can do anything at all with it.
