I'm currently using a pxe server to do some imaging of a couple of computers when they come back from clients
I have been doing this with clonezilla, but clonezilla is kind of a pain in the but due to its 90 options at every click
I've been using rescuezilla for a while now, but I only know how to use it with a usb key
I know I can make a pxe boot server on a raspberry pi, and would like to do that, but have it boot rescuezilla instead of clonezilla...
can anybody help with this? or show me a guide with a step by step?
or even just an iso/image that can be burned to an SD card to use in a pi?

Fair point, I actually don't think I've even tried to run Rescuezilla using PXE myself.
I do want to improve the situation at some point though.

FYI, I have Rescuezilla 2.4 booting over ipxe. Because Rescuezilla is based on Ubuntu, I just copied my ubuntu ipxe menu item, adjusted paths and Boom Shakalaka, all the Rescuezilla goodness booting over the network. Incidentally my ipxe boot items contain some http and nfs path access. i.e. The kernel and initrd are retrieved by http. The root is accessed using NFS to a mounted Rescuezilla ISO image on the host server.

There's some users with experience booting Rescuezilla as PXE boot here: https://github.com/rescuezilla/rescuezilla/issues/117
The thread is a bit old but the instructions are still relevant I think. I hope to improve PXE boot in future versions of Rescuezilla.
yeah... thats not actually helpful.....
not even in the slightest..
maybe quit referring people to that thread....

Does anyone have a procedure for uefi pxe boot using a tftp (pi4) and a router that does dhcp network boot?
