When you open Warcraft III Replays after installing RK, they do not get opened directly in Warcraft III. At first some kind of preprocessing takes place in RK. This includes verifying map path and patch version of replays.
Additionally, since version 1.15 unreadable player names get replaced by a standard "Player" + slot-number name.
If verification succeeds, Warcraft III is executed and will view the original replay file.
If verification fails, a special search routine and/or patch routine is started, in order to find the required map/install the correct patch. After a successful search/patching, RK generates a temporal copy of the replay and adjusts the map path in it. Now Warcraft III opens the temporal replay file with the corrected map path and should start viewing it without any problems. In case patching was necessary, RK reverts this patch automatically after the Warcraft 3 process has terminated.
If RK could not find the required map/patch, the map/patch must be downloaded from the internet.
