Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Hey, I got beta188 working. Make sure you do the following: - Drop and re-create the tables, the beta188 schema is different. - Download replayScheudle (CVS) and put in cgi directory. nope new install. what i have done is gone back to version prg180_release3b to launch replayguide.pl to view the webpage functionality. I am using beta188 now to gather all of the tv listings and to dump the na.xml contents to the mysql database. I am doing this because prg180 works to communicate with my replayTV and I like the page layout that beta188 provides better. I know you think that this may sound crazy, but it works very well for me. At least until I can figure out why beta188 wont work. the only thing I can tie it to is that in prg180 when you run configure it does not ask for the port number and beta188 does. and for some reason when you put 80 into the database for port number it fails. just my thoughts anyways. so if anyone has figured out how to get bet188 to work please let me know. I have tried this on Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server and I am now using Windows XP. ----- Original Message ----- From: <br...@ki...> To: "G0dSm@ck" <god...@mo...> Cc: <rep...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2003 12:37 PM Subject: Re: [Replayguide-discussion] ideas > Are you upgrading from a previous version?
