this question may just be my ignorance of java SOP, so excuse me if it is: at least for me, the 'principle of least surprise' would allow me to just copy a jar file (eg repast/demos/bugs/bugs.jar) somewhere and run it (perhaps after setting REPAST_HOME appropriately). but as far as i can tell, this can't be done with the repast/demo jar files because they have manifests that use relative paths to get to repast.jar and friends: [rlr@dolce Demos-1.4]$ cat META-INF/MANIFEST.MF Main-Class: uchicago.src.sim.heatBugs.HeatBugsModel Class-Path: ../../lib/repast.jar ../../lib/trove.jar ../../lib/colt.jar ../../lib/jgl3.1.0.jar ../../lib/excelaccessor_Runtime.jar ../../lib/jmf.jar ../../lib/jcchart.jar ../../lib/junit.jar ../../lib/plot.jar ../../lib/xerces.jar Is it possible instead to have jar/manifests use REPAST_HOME ? - r -- Rick Riolo rl...@um...
