ReMoot - the pseudo-universal remote / News: Recent posts

This release is sort of a complete rewrite of everything.

ReMoot introduces a new smarter and faster client/daemon model and adds support for many apps: moc, mpd, quark, beep media player, pytone, gmusicbrowser, xmms2 and smplayer.

rewwwoot, the web interface to ReMoot, is now faster, safer, supports buttons and is now distributed as a separate package.

We are working on a new version of Rewww00t that uses buttons with icons instead of just text links. However, as you can see on the screenshot we are not artists. We are therefore having an artwork contest to hopefully get a nicer theme.

Send us your much nicer artwork in any commonly supported image format so that we can distribute it together with Rewww00t. There should be one image for each button (prev, play/pause, next, stop, volup, mute, voldown) and images for a frame. We would like it to fit within a small frame of 320x480 pixels or less to suit small screens. The contest is open until the end of August.
